Authorities banned the departure of the passenger-car ferry “Aegina” after it struck something while docking at the port of Mantoudi in Evia.

The vessel was operating the route Mantoudi – Skiathos – Glossa, Skopelos – Skiathos – Mantoudi when the collision occurred during the docking procedure.

There were 77 passengers on board, along with 20 cars and one motorcycle.

No injuries were reported following the incident, while according to available information, weather conditions in the area were good.

Following the collision, the relevant authorities prohibited the vessel from departing until the required inspections are completed and its condition is assessed.
