On Monday morning, Princess Kako of Japan, who is on an official visit to Greece, was given a tour of the Acropolis Museum.

The official tour was conducted by the Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni and the General Director of the Acropolis Museum Nikos Stampolidis.

According to the announcement by the Ministry of Culture, the Princess of Japan showed particular interest in the sculptural decoration of the Parthenon, wanting to learn in detail about the carving techniques of the statues.

She was especially intrigued by the colors preserved on the surfaces of the Acropolis Korai and the differences in the hairstyles and garments of the Caryatids.
